Frequently Asked Questions

We hold tournament team tryouts every semester. We usually hold tryouts during the first few weeks of each semester. 

Our tournament team consists of mainly competitive high school players and USTA tournament players.

In terms of UTR, on average, the guys on our team range from 6 UTR-11 UTR and girls would range from 5 UTR-8 UTR.

We have practices 3 times a week on Monday and Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday 6-8 pm.

We prefer that members come to as many practices as they can. Although these practices aren't mandatory, it is important to know that our captains are constantly evaluating the contributions each individual makes to the team. Each members practice participation will be a factor when making tournament rosters. 

The membership fees for USC Trojan Tennis Club is $200/semester.

The selection process has no set minimum or maximum quota, and it fluctuates from year to year. We prioritize individuals based on their overall compatibility with the team and their talent level, ensuring there are no rigid restrictions in place.

Don't worry, there's always next semester! Every year, we witness an abundance of incredibly talented individuals who step forward, making our selection process consistently challenging. 

In the meantime, you should definitely consider joining our general club team. It's a great group of people for all levels of tennis who just love to play (no cuts!).
